This week’s Scrappy Saturday project is a direct result of a need. My 2 yr old started using the potty this past week and I needed a quick fix for any potential accidents that may happen while out and about. I had flash-backs of pulling apart my car seat in the middle of a parking lot from my older daughter. Since I really have no desire to repeat those incidents I headed down to my sewing room to construct a “Piddle Pad” to prevent such a catastrophe.
For this pad, I used cotton on the exterior and 2 layers of wool felt on the interior. You can use either felt or fleece – both offer great absorbency power.
This tutorial offers two options. The REVERSIBLE option, which requires a little fold and tuck to fit the chair and the FITTED option which makes the “tuck” permanent. Of course, you could reverse this option, however you will see the seams if you do!
