I’m still here….and I’m still sewing…..Two weeks ago I was contacted about participating in a Holiday Boutique Craft Fair. Since I really wasn’t prepared for a craft fair, I was going to decline, but with a little encouragement from my husband, and my desire for some extra spending money for the holidays, I decided to do it.
For this event, I wanted to put together a bunch of items that would make excellent, inexpensive gifts – after all, it is a Holiday Boutique! Needless to say, I’ve been busy….here is a little peek at what I’ve been working on:
Along with my usual bibs, burp cloths, wipes covers and changing sets, I’ve put together a collection of coffee cozies, wristlets, wine gift bags, checkbook covers and scented sachets. I’ve also created a few different types of handbags.
So, if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been – I’ve been locked away in my studio sewing! While most of these items will not be sold in my Etsy shop, I may offer a couple of the cute bags I’ve been trying out. I am really fond of the pleated bag sitting in the right hand corner (it’s still waiting for it’s leather handles to arrive). I will share more on this bag and pattern when I complete it. Hopefully I’ll have time to make a few more.
That’s it for now….back to work!
