You may have noticed that my blog posts have become a bit scarce these past few weeks…. I have one word.
I am feeling quite “scattered” these days.
I’ll be honest, I’m juggling too many things. I’ve got way too much on my plate and because of this somethings have become less of a priority. Unfortunately, my blog is one of them.
Aside from the constant balance of work, family and me, the new school year with two girls in the public school has thrown me for a loop.
On the family front paperwork, homework, after-school activities, school events, etc are all requiring my attention. My girls started swim lessons on Sundays, one has soccer on Thursdays and Sundays and the other has gymnastics on Wednesdays.
On the work front I am trying to play catch up from my diminished work schedule the last few weeks of August. My wait list continues to stay full (which I am thankful for), and my shop inventory has become depleted. Meanwhile the accounting paperwork is piling up as I haven’t had time to dedicate to it.
On the home front I’ve been inundated with home maintenance repairs (we need a new roof and the time it requires to schedule and handle estimates is more than I thought), a family of yellow jackets and paper wasps had been making our home theirs which required a consult from a exterminator, some minor painting jobs and general yard clean up stuff have all been eating away every bit of my “spare” time.
On the personal front I’ve rescheduled my dental cleaning 3 times because I can’t spare the hour, I’ve been busy with family events and affairs and trying to squeeze in my love of photography wherever I can. Not easy by the way. We have also committed to a more natural diet and have been cutting out the majority of processed/packaged foods. Convenience food is not an option for us any longer, so I am in the kitchen a lot more these days. The commitment takes time, although it is well worth it.
So, needless to say, my time for writing up blog posts is close to null. But don’t give up on me yet. Although I may not be posting all that much, I do have some fun tutorials to share in the near future. I’m currently working on a Halloween costume which took a little repurposing, and I took some detailed photos to create a tutorial for you. I also have my eye on a few projects that I want to try out and will be sharing my thoughts and opinions on.So although you may not see 2-3 posts per week, you will see posts – and I promise I’ll try my best to make them good ones.
