I was looking for a fun way to “wrap” some gift cards. Everyone loves gift cards, but I find them so….impersonal. Sooooo, what better way to give them a little more meaning than wrapping them in a handmade card holder that can be re-used for business cards, or credit cards???
I scoured the web for a quick and easy tutorial and came across a gem by The Crafty Cupboard.
This project can be made with tiny scraps (we’re talking less than 6″ square pieces), a button, a hair elastic and about 15 minutes. Right up my alley!
Seriously, how can you go wrong?
The tutorial is straight-forward and easy to follow. The only modification I made was to add some mid-weight interfacing to the small card sleeves to give it a little more body, but that is just my personal preference…it is fine without it.
Now those boring gift cards can have a little more meaning….
I loved this so much, I made one for myself to carry around my business cards!
