Can I tell you something really silly? About two years ago I came across a tutorial for a water bottle holder and have wanted to make one for my girls. Yup…TWO years and I JUST made them. Ridiculous, right? Oh well, better late than never! Let me tell you about these water bottle holders….
I used THIS TUTORIAL by Pink Chalk Studios as my guide. It sews up quickly and easily! The measurements given were meant to fit most store-bought water bottles. Since we fill our own water bottles, I had to make a small alteration…. Here is what I did:
Exterior Fabric = 10 3/4″ x 8″
Lining Fabric = 10 3/4″ x 8″
Insulbright = 10 1/4″ x 7 1/2″
Bottom Circles = 3 3/4″ for all three layers (Check out the bottom of this post for a BONUS download!)
I then followed the instructions from Pink Chalk Studio’s tutorial up to the point where she attaches the strap.
At that point I added the straps which secured the fold as well. As you can see, it worked out perfectly!One other thing I did was use PUL for the lining of the holder. This will capture any condensation from the water bottle!
And to make your life easier, I created a circle template for you to download! It measures 3.75″, just print at 100% and use it to make your circle pieces.
