Ok…the title of this post isn’t entirely true. I actually could live without these things, but I really don’t want to! Before I get to the list, let me throw out a little disclaimer…first this post is about things, not people….obviously, my family would be at the top of my list if it was all inclusive! Second, this post is entirely of my own making (in other words, these companies did not pay me or offer me anything to write it!)
#1: Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
This Foundation is amazing. First, let me tell you that I do not wear a lot of makeup. I go for more of the natural look, but being over the age of 29 (not too much over of course), my skin tone is not as even as I would like. This liquid foundation is light and breathable and when you get the correct color for your skin it looks very natural. Even better, this foundation is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosen and gluten (this is all good news!). Best of all it offers UVA/UVB sun protection. You can purchase it with or without the brush, but let me tell you, that brush really airbrushes the foundation beautifully!
#2: Goody Hair Clips
Silly? Perhaps, but I LOVE these clips. I have long hair, and it is constantly getting in my way so 90% of the time, I wear it up. I’ve tried a million clips and this is the one that I use all the time. The very sad thing is that this particular clip has changed over the years. The newer version doesn’t feel the same, nor does it hold the same. So…I have about 4 of these left and am very careful with them – I’m not quite sure what I’ll do when the last one breaks!
#3: Iced Coffee
Oh coffee how I love thee…and I love you even more over ice! Sure, I can go without it and I have gone without it for months at a time, but I really don’t want to. I truly enjoy my coffee in the morning, it gives me that little boost of energy to start my day. I will enjoy it and not feel guilty!
#4: Deep Freezer
I cook A LOT. I try to maintain a healthy diet for my family which involves organic / non-GMO foods. To keep costs down, I purchase in bulk from local farmers. This requires me to have a lot of freezer space. My deep freezer is not huge, it’s one of the smaller ones actually, but it offers just enough room to store the meats and veggies that feed my family of 4. Probably the best $300 I ever spent!
#5: My Janome 1600P
Since this blog is mostly about sewing I can’t leave this out. My Janome 1600P is my workhorse. It is a simple, non-computerized, straight stitch machine and it is fast. Super fast. And super strong. I don’t think I could ever give this bad boy up! If you are looking for a sewing machine that is all business and no frill you really should consider this one.
