Life is quite a journey, isn’t it? I love to compare it to a country road with plenty of hills, unexpected turns and changing scenery. I’ve been traveling a pretty interesting and consistent journey over the past 6 years with Sewplicity. As much as I love this business and craft, over the past year I’ve found that my inspiration has been waning. I suppose it’s quite normal – after a long time of doing the same thing you crave change. That’s where I am finding myself these days. It is time to turn off my comfortable country road and find a new road to explore.
So what does this mean? Don’t worry… Sewplicity is not going away… I will still be making high chair covers and be involved in the industry, I’ve just decided to scale back my operation. I have already cut back on the different types of high chair covers I offer and am no longer offering custom measured chair covers. I will most likely cut back a few more, however I will continue to offer my most popular covers through my wait list, but the availability of my pre-made covers in my Etsy shop will be sparse. The vast amount of fabric options I currently offer will slowly diminish as well. You will also find that I will not be blogging quite as frequently. But no worries, it’s all good! Sometimes being true to yourself means making difficult decisions, and it’s the difficult decisions in life which are the important ones.
I leave you with this quote…
“The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.”
