How easy is it to clean Sewplicity® High Chair Covers?
Simply throw it in the wash on a warm/gentle cycle and dry it on a gentle cycle. If needed, you can iron it (no steam). Each cover comes with care label attached.
What makes Sewplicity® Covers different from others I’ve seen?
Sewplicity® covers are made in your choice of designer fabric and are customized to each make/model of chair to ensure a perfect fit…they are NOT “one size fits all”. These covers are fitted, padded, quilted and meant to replace your old cover (they are not slipcovers).
Extra time is taken to interface and quilt each cover to increase the durability and longevity of the product. Interfacing not only strengthens the fibers of the fabric but helps make it feel more like upholstery. Only high quality components are used in my products and you will be able to tell.
How long does it take to get a custom cover?
Construction and shipping time can vary anywhere from 3-5 weeks from reserving a spot on the wait list. Please be patient, items are constructed in the order received. If there is any delay you will be notified.
Can I provide my own fabric?
YES! I will happily make you an item with your own fabric as long as it is 100% cotton. Most covers require 1 – 1 1/2 yds of fabric. When you fill out the Reservation Form, choose “I will provide my own fabric” and you will see how much fabric you will need to purchase.
Sewplicity covers are handmade products which are made to fit each high chair make and model. While the covers may be similar to the originals, it is impossible to make exact replicas. Manufacturer parts like clips and snaps will not be part of the handmade design. Please know that when purchasing handmade, no two items will be exact. A human cannot produce the same consistency as a machine, however a machine cannot place the individual attention into its work like a human can.
Do you make high chair covers in vinyl or any other type of laminated/wipable material?
Currently I offer a limited choice of child-safe PUL wipeable and washable fabrics. Please Note: Vinyl and Oilcloth are NOT SAFE for use in children’s products and are prohibited in the use of the manufacture of children’s products. You can read more about here.
Do your high chair covers meet CPSIA safety requirements?
ABSOLUTELY. Sewplicity® high chair cotton covers are made from natural fibers and materials that are exempt from CPSIA testing requirements. PUL covers only use fabrics that have been tested by a CPSC accredited forensic laboratory and have passed lead and phthalate testing requirements.
Why is your wait list time so long?
Sewplicity® is a one-person operation. Between creating these quality covers and running the business I need to take care of my family so my turn time is what it is. The good news is that once you get on the list the time flies by pretty quickly! And if you need a cover quickly, please inquire about my Rush Service.
Are your covers reversible?
Due to the fitted construction of Sewplicity covers, they are not reversible. The back of the covers is made from a cream colored cotton.
Do you offer discounts if multiple covers are purchased?
Regardless of how many covers ordered, each one takes the same amount of material, time and dedication to detail to construct therefore discounts are not offered. Shipping costs will always combined.
